Ten Things Spiritual Life Coaches Can Do for You

Not feeling fulfilled in life? That’s how you feel when you are not living your dharma & a dharma coach can help you find your purpose

Are you living the life you’ve always dreamt of? Or is there a voice within that’s telling you something is missing? Listen to your inner voice. We’re all here on this planet, living this life in this body, in order to fulfill our purpose. Close your eyes and picture the best version of your life. You are fulfilled, you are creative, you feel divine.

That is what it feels like to find your true purpose, your dharma.

Your dharma is your divine purpose on this planet, your soul’s essence, the unique
vibration only you can carry out in the world. It’s your call to action!

How do I find my path?

To discover your dharma is to realize the truth of who you are. You cannot know your
truth and not shift your life to be in alignment with your dharma. You can’t unsee what the third
eye saw. Once you experience it, anything else will feel suffocating.

Living your purpose is the ultimate form of self-love. When you say “yes” to answer your higher calling, everything you’ve been seeking manifests naturally. The fulfillment, happiness, abundance, clarity, confidence, worthiness, and peace you’ve been yearning for arises effortlessly because you are living in harmony with your truth. There is no more striving—you simply are you, full-time.

what do spiritual coaches do

Is it a far cry from where your life is now? Finding your dharma and connecting with your higher calling isn’t easy, but that’s why we have spiritual life coaches to guide us. Some of us were put here to help guide others onto their path. And when you connect with the right life coach, your life transforms as your energies align, like something divine!

Why live a life in the darkness, when your body and soul can sing of the highest truths, of light and happiness? Why deny your instinct to be free of all the humdrum of life as we know it— endlessly caught up answering bell after bell, from emails to doors to phones?

A dharma coach can help you break past the habits that have kept you in a toxic cycle, and help you juggle your life as you strive to be your best self. I’m not going to tell you to give up all worldly desires and live like a monk, no! I’m here to help you find the clarity to connect to yourself and the ancient knowledge that’ll help you transform your life.

Ten things a Dharma Coach can do for you

1. Making major life changes

“Sometimes the one thing you need for growth is the one thing you are afraid to do.”― Shannon L. Alder

When you awaken to your true purpose, you begin to change your life. And sometimes, this may even mean moving to another country or cutting off people who don’t support your spiritual growth. I had to leave everything behind, including the approval of my family, who threatened to disown me for choosing an alternative path. It caused me to reprogram my thoughts and limiting beliefs and realize how much I had been living for external validation.

But out with the old and in with the new, am I right? Being true to myself led me to the place I am, where I help and guide others, be it through my book or podcasts!

Such major life changes aren’t always easy to deal with, and having a spiritual coach to guide you can be a major blessing! They’ll be there to hold your hands through thick and thin.

2. Find a work/life balance

“You will never feel truly satisfied by work until you are satisfied by life.” ~ Heather Schuck

Life coaching doesn’t extend to just one aspect of your life. Spirituality doesn’t wait around for you to practice it whenever you can! You reap what you sow and to get a good harvest; you put in the time to lay the seeds of your spiritual growth. It’s become harder and harder to maintain our boundaries as we work from home, but that’s exactly where a great dharma coach can help! They help you fulfill your dharma in the simplest ways possible, and maintain a balance between the work you do to put food on the table, and the work you do to feed your soul! The human body isn’t the only thing that needs nutrition. Your dharma is deeply connected to all that you do, and a good spiritual coach helps you manifest it into the smallest moments of your life.

3. Achieve your goals!

“If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.”― Henry David Thoreau

I didn’t just wake up one morning, decide to write a best-selling book, and finish it all in a day or two. Nor did I ever think I’d be able to live my dream of meeting THE Deepak Chopra, but it all fell into place as I set forward on my path. A spiritual life coach doesn’t just help you dream; they show you how to manifest your dreams into reality, no matter how big they are. Can you see your own reflection in a rippling pond? A dharma coach helps you sort out your priorities and stills the waters so that you can see and move towards being your ideal self. The only limit is the strength of your belief in yourself! This self-criticism that plagues the spiritual holds a lot of us back from our dharma. If you’d like to hear more about this, you can check out my podcast episode on this!

4. Defeat fear

“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”― Paulo Coelho

Fear is a normal reaction to anything major. We’ve all felt panicked at the idea of sudden career changes, or the loss of a loved one. We’ve all probably even dreaded things like meetings at the office, or making an appointment at the Doctor’s. Fear kicks in at the strangest of moments and I’ve let it take control of me in the past. I’ve battled the what-ifs and fought so that all the things I dreamt of could come true. Most life coaches are here, spreading the word because we know the kind of special care it takes to evolve into your highest self. And while it can be quite an uphill journey at first, you’ll be climbing mountains with ease and the strength of your belief and love for your own amazing soul!

5. Work through your trauma

“There are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds.”― Laurell K. Hamilton

True healing begins when we heal from the traumas of our past. It’s never too late to discover your dharma, but to commit to your future and your purpose, you have to let go of the past. Whether it’s that ex who’s been lurking around or even a missed career opportunity – they’re only going to hold you back. And healing trauma doesn’t always have to be a painful journey! To quote Dumbledore a little here, “just because it’s all in your mind, doesn’t mean it isn’t real”. If you believe that your path will be one of pain and slow progress, your mind, body, and energy will align with this belief and manifest it.And this is where life coaching can be of great help! A spiritual coach helps you understand your own behavioral patterns and cycles. They can hold you accountable and help you kick those bad habits to the curb!

6. Boost your confidence.

“I learned this, at least, by my experiment; that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with unexpected success in common hours…”― Henry David Thoreau

We lose confidence when we encounter failures, right? But as a child, did you feel a loss of confidence while making a mistake? Growing up, we are so tuned into our dharma, that we would be healers, innovators, creators! But somewhere down the line, we’re told that adulthood is a secure job. But what in life is ever secure? Even the breath you draw right now isn’t a guarantee forever, is it?Our lives are not meant to be lived in a state of constant disgruntlement, as we go from our jobs to our homes and then repeat the cycle all over again. As humans, we are meant to live in a state of kriya, a state of flow where things fall into place and doors open for us with ease. We’re led to believe life has to be hard, but all it takes is a little bit of faith and the right guides to help you!

As life coaches, we’re here to help facilitate this growth, where you gain a deeper spiritual understanding of your kriya state so that you can be the most confident, happy version of yourself.

7. Improve your relationships

“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.”~ Carl Gustav Jung

Dharma connects us to each other. We’re all part of the same entity, we are but extensions of each other and our relationships are often the first to suffer when we don’t follow our dharma.A great spiritual coach can help you reconnect with other people so that you can be a good parent, a good teacher, a good friend, a good lover… After all, what is life if we don’t help those around us become enlightened? We uplift those around us as we evolve, everyone’s joining us for this ride of a lifetime!

8. Improve your physical health and wellness

“When health is absent, wisdom cannot reveal itself, art cannot manifest, strength cannot fight, wealth becomes useless, and intelligence cannot be applied.” ~ Herophilus.

Before I started on my path, both my mind and body were under attack from the consequences of not following my dharma. I couldn’t digest food without crippling pain and stopped getting my period for two years. My bones were constantly getting injured, I had become underweight, and I was losing my hair. My body stopped producing hormones and was essentially going into perimenopause—at age twenty-one. I went to countless doctors, but their efforts were futile. The thing is, the body knows what it wants. It’s here to help you become the best version of yourself, to be attuned to your dharma. And when you go against your given path, it protests and asks you to evaluate. A life coach can tune you into your body’s energy and teach you to help it heal intuitively!

9. Overcome addictions

“There are all kinds of addicts, I guess. We all have pain. And we all look for ways to make the pain go away.”― Sherman Alexie

Now I’m not talking about just addictive substances like alcohol or nicotine. I’m also talking about relationships where you just can’t seem to let go of a person, or that itch to go shopping every time you see something cute in a shop window. Addictions can be dangerous; they can lead you off your path. The body craves pleasure, but as with the yummiest foods, everything is good only in moderation. A trained spiritual life coach knows techniques to help you overcome these dangerous addictions and stay true to yourself!

10. Finding yourself

“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”― Aristotle.

That’s right. Do you truly know who you are? Deep down, have you evolved alongside your physical body? Are you still hiding away that inner child? Getting to know yourself is the hardest part of our journey, but the clarity you receive upon knowing yourself, your heart and soul, and your purpose on earth? It’s the best feeling ever!

A life coach can also help you dig deeper into who you are. They help you understand who you are after you set aside what society has taught you. Underneath all that glitter, what makes you so unique to your purpose?

If you’re reading this article, that means you’ve already begun your spiritual journey. And I wish you the very best with it! There lies nothing but adventures ahead…
