I wish I spent more time caring what people think.

“I wish I spent more time caring what other people think.”
“Wish I spent more time in fear, worried about my future.”
“I wish I didn’t do what I loved and instead listened to what society told me to do.”

I-wish

^Things NO ONE says on their death bed^

There is no greater teacher for life, than its sibling death. They are two ends of the same coin and one would be meaningless without the other.

The more we realize we will eventually die and all of this will become a passing dream..
..The more liberated we become.

As my Grandfather transitions at this time, I’m left with his final words, “Don’t wait to live life. This is it. It’s right here, right now.”

What are we waiting for?

The number one regret of the dying from the book The Top Five Regrets of the Dying is “I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”

She writes, “This was the most common regret of all. When people realize that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most people had not honored even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made. Health brings a freedom very few realize, until they no longer have it.”

This is a regret I want no one to live with, which is why I wrote Discover Your Dharma: A Vedic Guide to Finding Your Purpose because there is no greater question than the reason why you are here. Happiness is a byproduct of living your purpose.

As I released the butterflies I raised yesterday, I am reminded by how beautiful and precious life is.

We think we have all this time and I imagine so does a butterfly.

But a butterfly does not know its average life span is only two weeks.

In the comparison of time, our lifetime is also a mere moment, a speck of stardust, a wave across the ocean that merges back with the totality it is.

So, how do you want to spend it?
What do you want to leave the world with?
And how can you enjoy this world while leaving it a better place?

We are left only with memories and those whose lives we touched.

So what if we prioritized that instead of the noise?

And instead of regrets on our deathbed, we are rejoicing with the joyous ways we fully lived out our days and the impact we are leaving with the planet?

Living our dharma is our birthright.

We are not here to to live a life we are just trying to get through.

We are here to express the full vibrancy that we already are

And blossom into our butterfly selves.

I wrote Discover Your Dharma for this very purpose and hope it can serve you in this time where life may feel like a standstill but actually is just as active, serendipitous and magical then ever before, if we choose to see it.
