My Story
I was always that person people came to when they wanted to eat healthier, feel better or think clearer. I would catch myself in conversations with total strangers about their deepest darkest secrets and life goals. People just naturally opened up to me and I honestly loved providing value back. I was coaching people without getting paid for it.
Even though it wasn’t my profession, I spent ALL my time researching nutrition, recipes, wellness, holistic health, psychology, spirituality and everything in between. I began blogging as EatFeelFresh.com and soon that blog became my passion.
I wanted to help people become healthier and happier but wasn’t sure how.
I dreamed of a career as some sort of holistic wellness advisor/ life coach but didn’t know where to begin.
On all of my favorite bloggers about pages, I noticed they had gone to IIN, Institute for Integrative Nutrition. The name kept showing up everywhere I looked, so I realized it was a sign from the universe I needed to pay closer attention.
The thing is..
I had a lot of fear.
Fear that no one would take me seriously.
Fear that I was too young or not educated enough (I was only 21-years-old).
Fear that no one would listen to me.
I also had my OWN health problems I was dealing with so felt like I’d be a fraud to help others if I wasn’t PERFECT myself.
Eventually, I decided to take the plunge and signed up for Institute for Integrative Nutrition, not with the goal of becoming a health-coach (fears will still full-on) but just so I could learn more about nutrition for myself.
Throughout the program, I was surprised by how much easier it was to become a certified health coach then I had envisioned in my mind. I thought I had to be a nutritional scientist to help people. I realized all you have to have is an open heart and be able to hold space for people in their process.
After the first six months of the program (it’s one year), we were encouraged to conduct health-history consultations with people, first with our fellow peers and then with people we met. After conducting dozens of practice health-history consultations, it was time for me to take this work out into the world. I was trembling with fear, thinking how would I ever find someone who would want wellness advice from me (even though I had been doing it my whole life in a non-professional way.)
Almost instantly, a woman reached out to me saying she was getting married and wanted to lose weight for her wedding. I let her know I was still a student but was willing to help her out. We had our first consultation and the words flowed. We continued to meet every two weeks on Skype. She lost all the weight she wanted to for her wedding and looked gorgeous in her dress.
Six months later (after I graduated), she emailed me again saying she was getting ready to have a baby and wanted help to change her diet for fertility. We worked together for three months on a fertility diet and both learned so much along the way.
A year later, I receive an email with the picture of a beautiful baby boy and a long-note of gratitude for changing her life. My fertility-diet coaching worked and she gave birth to a magical little angel after working together. And best of all- she wanted coaching again to help her lose the baby weight!
I had never felt so much pride. Because of me, she was able to bring life into this world. I knew right then that this is what I want to keep doing for the rest of my life.

What is a Health Coach?
A certified health coach is a healthcare professional that educates, motivates, and supports clients to achieve their health goals through diet, lifestyle, and behavior adjustments. Beyond education and guidance, a Health Coach keeps their client accountable throughout their six month program.
What Does a Health Coach Do?
As a Health-Coach, you can choose your own niche and work as an entrepreneur, in-tandem with a Doctor’s office, as a consultant or launch your own business. Examples of niches include:
- Corporate wellness
- Helping burnt-out professionals become healthier
- Helping women rebalance their hormones
- Working with people with thyroid disorders
- Eating disorders
- Weight loss
- Acne
- Fertility
- Recipe development
- Restaurant menu development
- Spa consulting
- Health product development
- Wellness education
- School health programs
The school states that 74% of students launch a health coaching practice before they graduate from IIN. Of those students, 48% charge $100/hour or more for their health coaching services. A year after graduating, most charge $200 and upwards. Expert coaches can charge up to $500 an hour for their one-on-ones.
You can also create tens of thousands a month passive income through online programs, which is what I do and will teach you in my webinar if you sign up to IIN with my referral.
Why Health Coaching?
Certified Health Coaches are more needed than ever before, especially because of the Coronavirus.
As a society, we are seeing how important our health is and people who used to never even think about it are seeking out the support of health professionals. Certified Health Coaches are more in-demand then ever before and frankly, thre is a shortage.
This is the time to use your quarantine to build the career and life of your dreams.. where you have financial freedom, are able to work from home and help others become their healthiest and happiest selves.
From one-on-one coaching to starting a podcast or blog to corporate wellness to working in a doctor’s office to teaching in schools to hosting live events, there are infinite possibilities once you have your certificate as a Holistic Health Coach from IIN.
By the way, it starts with food but it’s SO much more!
IIN is truly the ONLY nutrition school that teaches you that FOOD is secondary to a healthy LIFE! No matter how much kale you're eating, if your thoughts are toxic, you're going to feel toxic.
The first thing they teach you is how to fill out the Wheel of Wellbeing to assess your OWN life and see what factors are missing. Even seven years later, I still check-in with myself every six months to see if my own Wheel of Wellbeing is balanced!
I couldn’t recommend IIN enough, which is why I became an ambassador to help empower more health-coaches!
Why Health Coaching?
The Certified Health Coach Training Program at IIN is entirely virtual, accessible via desktop, tablet, or smart-phone. It can be done anywhere, making it perfect for working people, those who don’t like to sit down for a long time (like me), travelers or anyone who wants to create their own schedule.
The school teaches you how to work with clients one-on-one, run group programs, and hold workshops at corporate offices, spas, health clubs, doctors’ offices, schools and so much more.
There are unlimited options, and how you use your education is entirely up to you. Integrative Nutrition covers cutting-edge, modern, traditional, and holistic nutrition concepts you won’t find in a traditional nutrition program.
Here are just a few of the topics you’ll study:
Bio-individuality
Primary vs secondary foods
Ayurveda, Macrobiotics, Paleo, Keto and over 100 other types of dietary theories
Setting up your health-coaching business
Hormonal Balance
Superfoods
Thyroid Health
Organic vs Non-Organic vs Local Foods
Deconstructing cravings
Autoimmune disorders
Genetics
Emotional eating
Food energetics
Digestive System
Government Policies
School food
Creating your own website
Branding
Marketing
And so much more!
Is IIN a Reputable School?
Great and important question. As a self-professed nerd who graduated cum laude from Boston University, I can whole-heartedly say YES!
IIN is the world’s largest nutrition school and is recognized by the government. Integrative Nutrition graduates are highly respected by clients and healthcare providers. Most top doctors and influencers are guest teachers on the program, so they’ll be happy to know you’re a student!
In fact, when I met Deepak Chopra and told him I was a graduate of IIN he said, “Oh great, I’m a guest teacher there!” Instant trust was created because he knew I studied at a school where he himself taught!
IIN guest teachers include:
You are truly learning from the best in the field, which is unlike any other program out there.
You know the program is successful when almost all your favorite influencers are IIN Grads!
IIN Certified Health Coaches get glowing referrals from doctors and often work in tandem with a client’s doctor to achieve a specific health outcome. In fact, more and more doctor’s offices are starting to keep health coaches on staff, and The American Medical Association encourages doctor’s offices to do so.
You are truly learning from the best and have the flexibility of doing it from anywhere in the world from your computer and phone.
I researched SO many nutrition schools before signing up for IIN and the cutting-edge online education component is what set this school apart from me.
Let's Talk Money Honey!
I went to IIN because of it’s low tuition cost (it’s an online campus aka not a huge overhead, plus these days EVERYTHING is online) with their INCREDIBLE business training. For me it was important to know how much I’d actually be able to make as a Health Coach if I was going to be investing my time into it.
So how much do Health Coaches earn?
Obviously, it depends which career track you take (and there are many you’ll be taught at IIN).However, independent health coaches typically charge $50 – $75 for a one-hour session when they are JUST starting out, and then increase their rates to $100 – $250 per session once they are more experienced after a couple months.
Some are $500 to even $2000, depending on their expertise and accomplishments such as writing a book.
Now imagine seeing 3-5 clients a DAY! It can easily become a 6-figure (and more!) business for you.
The best thing about IIN is you earn while you learn.
They’ve structured the Health Coach Training Program (HCTP) program so you can begin seeing paying clients in as little as six months.
Imagine the possibility of recouping your investment before you actually graduate!
IIN takes the latest research and makes it applicable to today's people.
You learn how to help, talk and learn with people– not just some nutritional science from a textbook that has nothing to do with actual individuals.
With IIN, all of the courses were audio/ video so I could take a walk, sit outside, go to a coffee shop, all while retaining the information! That ALONE made it so worth it.
Other nutrition courses I’ve done have simply mailed me a textbook and an exam and said I had 8 months to complete it.. without any interactive calls, video lessons, audio, fb group, accountability partners, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use my course credit at IIN towards a Masters Degree?
Yes! The Institute for Integrative Nutrition has educational agreements with Maryland University of Integrative Health, Goddard College, SUNY Purchase and Excelsior College for graduates who wish to continue their education to achieve a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Are there any live calls or events?
Yes! There are six live calls with YOUR coaching group, which is your small group of peers led by an IIN grad. This is where you’ll discuss finding your niche, coming up with your elevator pitch, making your voice heard and so much more. I loved having this throughout the program because it kept me on track and made me feel like I was part of a true school.
There is also an interactive Facebook group specifically for your class, where you can share and connect with other individuals. Each person chooses their accountability partner, which is your person to keep you on track throughout the program. Both my partner and I had Ayurveda-niches and were really able to help each other out!
With IIN, you truly feel like you are part of a school because you're part of such a large and supportive tight-knit community!
Today almost ALL of my friends are graduates of IIN because we just get each other! We know we value the same things and see health and life from a HOLISTIC point of view! We believe in the importance of caring about our relationships, environment, finances, movement, spirituality and career just as much as our food because they’re all interconnected!
